| PROGRAM |


| Dr. Peterson Zah shared his knowledge of the History and Culture of the Navajo people. |
| Connie Mitchell introduced Peterson Zah, ASU Advisor to the President on American Indian Affairs. |
| Peterson Zah has devoted his life to the Navajo people. He was the last Tribal Chairman and served a four year term as the first President of the Navajo Nation, the largest Indian reservation in the United States. From 1983 - 1987 he served as Chairman of the Navajo Tribal Council. He has served as director of the Western Regional Office of the Save the Children Federation; as a consultant on education, public affairs, law and government affecting American Indians; and as chair of the National Advisory Council for the Navajo Education and Scholarship Foundation. From 1967-1982, he was executive director of Diné People's Legal Services. The City of Albuquerque presented him with the Humanitarian Award. Mr. Zah earned a bachelor's degree in education from A.S.U. Santa Fe College and Colorado College bestowed him with honorary doctoral degrees. |

| The 50/50 Raffle took in $192. Borgny Lee (left) and Marilyn Burke (right), a visitor from Texas, each won $48.00. $96.00 went to the Friends in the Hillls treasury. |
